stolen bikes

it's sad that i cried harder about this bike than any break up ever. it was stolen a year ago while i was in class. did anybody else loose the love of their life?

I've had two bikes stolen. The first one was crap, but I'd put a few nice parts on it. The second was the low end Redline I'd bought to replace the first one that got stolen. That really sucked, because it was the first half way decent bike I'd ever had. The Redline I replaced it with is technically a better bike, but it gave me a lot of trouble due to canti mounts on high ten stays.

My current bike has a few technical issues, but it's pretty much the bike of my dreams. I'd be crushed, if anything happened to it.

Yep. This past Easter Sunday. It still hurts to think about.

Yep. Was adjusting and fine tuning it to suit my needs in on the front porch. Went inside into the living room to get something and out of the side of my eye I see movement through the window. Turned my head, ran to open the door and I see tire tracks in the grass. I ran out there, ran back in to get the car keys and by that time it was gone. Owned it all of two hours.

The worst was the one that was stolen while I was riding it.

It was a nice day. I have a good sized cement porch where I spend a lot of time at. Just wanted to work on the bike outside, figuring I was adjusting/test riding/adjusting. I left it for about 3 minutes and was about 20 feet from the bike (but inside the house) when I saw the movement.

It was a GT mountain bike back in the day before they were bought out by Pacific and when they were in their heyday.
