Cycling Tees
hey everyone,
looking for some input, been working on screenprinting and decided theres not too many cycling related shirts. let me know if anyone has any ideas for designs or if youd be interested in getting any designs ive come up with. MERCKX http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/493...erckxshirt.jpg Number 7 (in response to the Fausto, jacques, eddy, bernard, miguel shirt) http://img251.imageshack.us/img251/358/lancec.jpg |
If you participate in cycling events, your closet will overflow with cycling related T-shirts.
But as far as non-event T-shirts go, IMO ... 1) I am not interested in any boxy cotton T-shirts. As mentioned above, my closet if full of such things and I rarely wear them because they don't look good. 2) If you're going to design T-shirts, make them fitted and in a wicking material that could be worn on the bicycle or out on a long, brisk walk. I can't wear T-shirts with words, people's faces etc. on them to work, so the only place I could wear such things is while exercising, and since the boxy cotton T-shirt doesn't work for exercising, what would be the point of buying it? 3) Design cycling-related T-shirts that could possibly be worn at work ... something fitted and stylish, in a good material with, perhaps, very small bicycles in a subtle colour around the hem ... something that would look, at first glance, like a fancy t-shirt with a bit of a pattern, but a closer glance would reveal a fancy T-shirt with bicycles. |
Incidentally, if you're entertaining any idea of selling your designs and you're planning to use someone's photo (as in your first design above), you'll need to get permission from the photographer, otherwise you are breaking copyright laws.
This place has some interesting designs: http://www.redbubble.com/search/bicycle/clothing I don't like all of them, and wouldn't want them on a boxy T-shirt, but some are nice. This one is kind of cute: http://www.redbubble.com/people/lizz...bike-australia This one would be pretty, especially if the image were larger and the T-shirt were in a purple or light blue or something: http://www.redbubble.com/people/dixo...n-garden-shirt I like the way the image is off centre on this one, and it would be a tough choice to pick a colour: http://www.redbubble.com/people/zann...5-2-retro-bike These places have a whole bunch of cycling T-shirts as well: http://shop.cafepress.com.au/bicycle http://www.zazzle.com.au/cycling+tshirts This is nice in a navy blue: http://www.zazzle.com.au/cycling_fem...87593636609106 |
Could you make the tees slightly more fitted and longer than normal tees?
Not sure if other people have this problem, but I'm between a L and XL and most tees either fits snug but is too short or is long enough but too wide. I found the white Kirkland brand tees sold at Costco fit perfect. |
