Bikes: Catrike 559 I own some others but they don't get ridden very much.

Burley used to recommend that kids be able to support a helmet before riding in one of their trailers. Essentially, that's about a year old. If anything, I'd think a child should be a little bit older before riding on a bike seat.

We had our kids on at about 6-7 months but we had to keep the rides short. They never had a problem supporting their head but they would fall asleep and their heads would start to lean forward in the seat and we'd have to walk home sometimes.

Thanks Retro Grouch and bengreen79...
I've heard kids often fall asleep in a child seat. There is a bike seat called WeeRide that has a angled table/deck in front (front mounted seat) that allows the child to sleep while you ride. I have a different brand (front mounted) seat... maybe some velcro on the back of the helmet and front of my chest will fix a lolling head. <kidding>.
Anybody else got any cycling with kid/baby advice for a 1st time dad. Cheers
