Aerobars are

a metal tube with a few clamps on them. Why do they need to be more than 20 bucks?

Why does Starbucks charge so much for something that obviously costs them so little? There are several principles of economics that could factor into the price of any commodity.

They don't have to be - plenty of used aerobars on eBay for less than that. http://cgi.ebay.com/Profile-Design-T...item1e5cf0c01e
In general I found that anything bike related is MUCH cheaper to buy used. Bikes and components last tens of years easily so you are not really losing much by buying a few years old anything bike related :)

Just a tube, no clamps, 125$
