5th days in a row, I commuted on the bicycle.
Last week, on Weds, Thurs, and Fri. I commuted to work on the bicycle. I am off on weekends. So, come Sat morning I am up and ready to go to breakfast, I got the choice of taking my F150, my GSX R1000, or my Raleigh Competition..I went straight for the Competition..
Fast foward to Mon of this week, I take the bicycle to work on Monday, Tuesday, and today, Wed..I think my wife has completed the transformation of taking me away from motorcycles being my main ride, and putting me on bicycles as my main ride. I am finding myself going further, riding faster, and loving it more!! Also, it I am getting my cardio in. Although I need cardio like I need a hole in the head. I am 6ft3in tall at 135lbs.. Still, the bike is fullfilling my cardio, as I do weight training about 5 to 6 times a week.
The reason the bicycle is so fasinating is because I am a newbie, and it seems like everything I do with the bicycle, opens up a another joy.
The street motorcycle is getting jealous too..
BTW, I have two Raleigh Competitions, a 79 and an 85. I am switching back and forth. The 85 is the sweetest.

Glad you're enjoying the vintage rides -- cool.
Don't EVER think, though, that your height/weight means that you don't need cardio, or that your weight training covers that. Marathon runners get heart attacks, too.
In terms of overall health and fitness, cycling comes in at #2, behind swimming, and you can't be TOO healthy.

Where do you ride, I'd love to see a skeleton riding a bike.
Congrats on the commuting though, I'm going to be adding a few miles to my commute when I start back at work on Friday as it is only .9miles to work.

Two things I want to learn before I get too old. They are swimming and dancing. Can't do either one worth a lick..

Good retort! I always get that kind of feedback about my size when I list my weight, and height. However, and a big however too, I am an exception a big exception. Nothing here but muscle!! As my old x girlfriend use to say, I got tiny muscles all over!!
