The "White Garage Door"
Is it cheating to "borrow" someones garage door for bike posing pics?
closest thing i have to a white garage door, is, uhh, someone elses white garage door. ;D |
Yes
|
I used the side of the smoke shack at work as a substitute for the obligatory WGD. I didn't get struck down by lightning, or anything like that.
I think the idea is to have a light colored background to showcase the beauty and detail of your bike. |
Hmm, then i should go for the "epic scenery" background! haha

No one in my neighborhood has a WGD. In fact, no one has a garage. Everyone has a carport. That's why you never see my bikes in front of a WGD.

I thought that the point was to try to NOT take the pictures in front of the WGD. I like flowers.http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=163612
Or something "urban" http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=163613 |
No garage door at my place either. I use the semi white side of my shipping container/shop.:innocent:

If you look at all the pictures I have posted through the years here there are only a couple with a white garage door... (my sisters).
I always aprpreciate interesting backgrounds to this. |
If the paint keeps peeling off this wall it will soon be white... took this today as there aren't many general Stores left in these parts and I had to go and ride a bit to get to this one.

I was sitting around at home one day and thought, "Hey, if I take a shot of nothing, then one with me holding the bike, I'd be able to use the 'nothing' shot to wipe me out and leave the bike standing by itself. It's so simple, it just might work!" Fifteen minutes later, I had the pic you see there. |
