Utility bicycles, a history.

As some here may know I have weakness for bicycles,
especially utility bikes. The workhorse of the street
and our past. I think that their time may come again
as gas prices rise and more people start to understand
the value of these wonderful machines.

So read some of the history if you wish along with
a story about an American utility bicycle maker in
(of all places!!) NYC, NY.!!

I'm very familiar with the Worksman bicycles having ridden one for 30+
years in the factory where I worked. One can really say that a Worksman
may be the ONLY bicycle a person would need......for a lifetime!! These
bikes are the SUV of bikes with an amazing load carring ability.

Please, enjoy!!
