Driving directions avoiding highways

Terraserver.com now has driving directions. The feature is located on the tools pane of the actions menu on their WWW site.

Since Mapquest.com discontinued the avoid highways feature, I have seen a few posts here requesting a similar feature from other providers. mapsonus.com and map24.com were the most popular alternatives.

This is another. In order to use the feature set the "Highway Preference" to 0. This site is pretty basic. It won't allow you to save addresses, but from the little I have used it, I think it produces good results.

FWIW

I just find it easier with a paper map.
