My Neuvation FC100 Carbon Road Bike Arrives tomorrow and today I purchased pedals, shoes, and this VDO double wireless Cyclocomputer: https://www.performancebike.com/bikes...1_20000_400023

I'm not liking the separate sensors for cadence and speed. Also, I'm thinking this might be more meant for MTB. (?)
Should I swap it? Saw some negative reviews as well.. I guess I'm hoping someone tells me this is great and perfectly fine...

Don't know much about that model, seems to have a fair number of negative reviews but some of the reviewers thought it was OK. It does look applicable to a road bike though. I bought a very basic wireless model, the Cateye Vectra which seems to be perpetually on sale for $39. It works very well and is small and lightweight, both the computer and the sensor. The only thing extra I wish it had is an elapsed time function, but it does have a clock. If you want to see your cadence of course you need a pricier model with the extra sensor.

I got the one with the cadence kit (extra sensor and all) for $69.99 total minus 10% lunch time shop and save - 10% in points in card.

So I got an OK deal. But like I said, I was playing with the cadence sensor and it lags so much

Speed sensor on the front wheel, cadence sensor on the cranks. You need two sensors, because the computer doesn't know what gear you're in.

Am I failing to grasp the question?

Well, no. You're right. Some cpus however, use one sensor for both. Meaning it takes the speed off the rear wheel and then another little arm of the same sensor reads the crank cadence.

Now, what's the gear got to do with anything?

you need to have the right campag or shimano brifter and buy their computer to have an on
screen gear indicator

I just look down and .... only use a simple bike computer to count the miles.

A CPU afaik is not in a bike computer .. no Intel inside .. its just a simple counting IC. with enough memory to remember the wheel size you input.

Which bike computer does that? and is it wireless?

Some bike computers may have a single sensor for cadenance and have a gps in the monitor unit like garmin.
