(Classical?) Music inspired by, or using bicycles

Hi all,

Does anyone have suggestions on music inspired by, or about bikes, or using bicycle sounds? I thought of using 'Bicycle Race' for my project but that song is so obvious
Classical music would be great too!

Thanks

Hmmm. "I Want to Ride My Bicycle" by Queen is the one I normally hear at bike events. There's "Daisy Daisy", google it if you're not familiar with it. It's sure not classical, but I guess it's old. "Get on your bikes and ride!" is a line from another song. Otherwise, not a lot comes to mind. Old single-speed bikes don't make much of a noise to incorporate into music. And not much rhymes with bicycle.

It's not classical, but; something from Kraftwerk's Tour de France album?

Alexander Gretchannanov did a piano piece called "Bicycle Ride." I think that one of the Strauss' wrote something called 'Bicycle Polka.' (Either Johann Strauss, Jr., or Josef, or Edouard.)
