Trek 1.5 question
 

I have an opportunity to buy a 2008 1.5 Trek for $700 o.b.o. I'm not sure that I'd offer him full price, but that depends on how good "excellent condition" would be. After a little research I noticed that Trek downgraded the component in 08 and it appears that they raised them in the last year or two to all Tiagra. What are your thoughts on the Sora components (shifter, front derailleur)?

If it is in good condition then go ride the hell out of it! Have you got lights? Why aren't you riding right now??? Make sure you have enough pressure in the tires and go! You're not made of sugar; you are not going to melt... get going!

There is nothing wrong with Sora but when they come up for replacement- change them out with an upgrade. Might be some time before you even have to do that.
