Does anyone know what bike The Dude is riding in this pic?
Attachment 181444 ...or Duder, or His Dudeness or El Dudarino, if you're not in to the whole brevity thing... |
I would ask those old fogies at the Classic & Vintage Forum.

Would also suggest that you make the picture larger than a thumbnail. Assuming that the original is larger, suggest uploading to photobucket and pasting the "img" link to your post. Preferably around 800 pixels wide, assuming the original was at least that size. |
2010 Trek Madone.

Looks like a CCM, Canadian bike.
|
It is an old roadster by the head angles and the double top tube. The chain ring should be easy to ID, I don't recognize it. Cross post to C&V someone should recognize it. I am thinking Columbia because of the shape of the headbadge.

Hmmm Long haired dude, late 40s = pic about 1966. Bike is teen size, so likely his son's.
Yes it's a Canadian Cycle + Motor made bicycle. It looks several years old, so, late 1950's. If you didn't own one in those days, and didn't play hockey, you weren't Canadian. haha They were much the same as Schwinns. Sixty fiver has a 1957 CCM, the middle tube is a bit different. |
It is a CCM. My dad had a very similar bike and I think it is still in my mom's shed.
You can tell it is a CCM because the chainring has CCM forged into it. |
I love that front fork. With that much trail it's bound to be easy to ride without hands.
A great bike for riding while drunk as it can go straight even if you can't. ;) |

Thanks for the help, guys! Agreed, it would be a good bar bike.
Also, Gambler, the rider - Jeff Bridges - is 61. I think that pic was taken earlier this year. My bad for not posting a bigger pic :D Thanks again.. |
First thing I noticed in the pic were Bridges' foot positions on the pedals; smack in the middle of the foot, under the arch. How on Earth can he ride a bike like that? That would feel SO weird to me...

Pretty much the only way to ride a cruiser.
