Winter Ride

I use to know someone who would ride in the snow. He said it was the most fun he had on a bike. Sorta a morbid place to ride don't use think? The music really don't go with the scenery.

Riding IN the snow would require a bit more snow. It's fun, tough but fun.

Glare ice (frozen sea / lake / river) is even more fun, though a bit upsetting at first. We've had too much snow this year, but a couple of years ago conditions were perfect for ice riding. No snow at all, freshly frozen sea. It only lasted for a couple of days before snowfall. It was tricky to get going, even with studded tyres, but once you got a bit of speed it was a blast. Braking and especially turning took the better half of a medium sized bay. :)

Not at all.

In the three seasons I commute through the cemetery a couple of days a week--it's just off the bike path. Nicest part of my ride. No traffic, any sort of terrain I want (I choose the hills), and it's quiet. We have groups who ride through it, and the cemetery's Friends group gives both walking and bike tours.

My plot in a different cemetery is also just off the MUP. I've been thinking of getting a stone that says "Reserved", but I'm afraid it will attract thieves or vandals.

Are you on 700cc tires?
I have no luck on them in snow.

26x 1.75 Schwalbe Marathon Winters. They are a decent all around tire but the wash out a bit in the deeper stuff.

Just watch out for the Drifts

26x1.8 Mud Pro tyres- they cut through the soft stuff and give grip.
