Maybe low but not by much. Those old Dale frames often give a harsh ride so I hope you know what you are letting yourself in for. Easy rectified with 25 tyres and wheels that are cross laced instead of Straight pull so not a problem unless you are expecting a compliant ride.

Bikes: I never learned to ride a bike. It is my deepest shame.

I think the seller might be relying on the pricey components like bars and stem to attract someone willing to pay big $$$. But only a collector would really consider them worth extra money.

I would have offered a little more... may $150 but no more than that. But that's me. The Cannondale frame is a pretty obsolete design - rigid, probably straight gauge tubing with non-replaceable derailleur hanger. If it has significant miles on it then your offer is more than fair. Don't pay too much.

ok, he threw $350 out there. I told him he could keep the bars and ill offer $125, i tried to make it sound nicer but i summed it up with "i cant come anywhere near 350."

$350 is insane. Maybe some sucker will buy it. It's a free market and you are free to laugh at his ridiculous price and walk away.

for reference i got a t400 touring bike(same size) with all aftermarket components phil wood hubs and bottom bracket, salsa bars and white industries crankset.

$400 after shipping

So yes hes trying to rip you off.

As far as harshness, justs get bigger tires. mine are 32 and I think they are a little small on this touring bike. but I can't fit any bigger with fenders
