I used to be a Pedi-cab "driver." Was a good way to meet folks, and make a few bucks... This was back in the early 80s. If I remember right I made about 50-70 bucks on good days. Of course I rode a bike to work. :D

I was thinking of trying to get a job at a bike shop when I turn 16. You guys know what kind of work I would be started out with? I will do pretty much anything except cleaning stuff like blood and vomit.

I could be sweeping floors for all I care, being around bikes makes me happy:)

Sad! Teachers here start at around $22K. I would love to teach again! I spent a year teaching part time in a Technical College and fell in love with teaching! (network engineering) And that part time gig paid $20K in the technical arena. Our nation really needs to get its priorities right. Our "primary" education teachers deserve better.

You got that freakin right! My GFs parents were both teachers for 30 years and retired 4 years ago. You wanna know where they made their money? Zambia AND Afganistan! They both made like 80K a year tax free working for an international organization that paid teachers to teach abroad in countries where there were no teachers. Of course the more dangerous the country, the more cash you made. My gf spent the first 13 years of her life in various countries, Parts of Africa, and Eur-Asia. Just plain freakin nuts that an international organization can pay more then the alleged "Most Powerful Country in the World" BS!! I myself was going to go into teaching intill I found out that if i took out student loans it would like like 7 years to pay them off on a teachers pay, and eating katchup for dinner! I dont give a crap about anywhere else right now, THIS country has problems that need to be sorted out. ok end of rant sorry to take up all your time
Drew
