1st ride of "the season" ride report

without preparation and sort of spur of the moment, I grabbed what I could and got the heck out of the house.

12 miles
23 mph max
not sure of my average but I saw a lot of 14 on some flats and 6 going up hills

my shorts are no longer snug around the leg so I guess I lost some significant muscle mass this past 6 mos off the bike.

intended on using the paved trail today but it was covered in snow. someone shouted to get on the trail and I just waved. then they flipped me off. nice.

Feels great, doesn't it? I did my first ride Wed. night and payed for it. My rear is still kinda tender. More miles than I was planning on doing. But ( no pun intended) we just have to keep at it and watch the miles tick away. Congrats!!

I got my first outdoor ride of 2011 in on Thursday night. I was out for about an hour. I was a little too excited and hit a couple of hills hard so my calves are still a little tender.

Overall, it's great to be outside. Riding on the trainer sucks.

Tomorrow, I'm going to try to get out for some test rides. Hope to be on a new Roubaix Elite in the next couple of weeks.

Happy riding!
