Toe Numbness..

Hey Guys,

I'm a beginner rider, but I've been putting in some mileage on my new road bike.
With over 300 miles in the past week or so, but I've run into a problem.

My rides are usually around 50 miles a day, and when I get home.. my big toe and my toe directly next to it on my left foot are completely numb.. they even are numb during my rides.

It's extremely uncomfortable, so I went down to the shop where I bought my shoes/ cleats at and the guy just moved the cleat more to the ball of my foot instead of it being towards the middle of my foot..

However it obviously hasn't worked... anyone have any other suggestions? I've tried wearing 2-3 layers of socks underneath my cycling socks.. but it still hasnt worked..

Thanks for reading!

Are you sure the shoes are the right size? Do you have wide feet and the shoes are regular width?
I wear an 11 EEE shoe. Regular cycling shoes are too narrow so I wear Sidi Genius 5.5, mega width. My feet are happy. :)

I had that problem. I kept riding and it went away after a few months of riding. A lot of riding pains and problems are like this. As you ride more and adapt, they go away. You might get a pro fit, new shoes, or something else to try to cure the problem and it seemingly works, but did it or was it simply riding more?
