FYI - Study on "Bicycle Trends" in North America

Some interesting information:
* It has a big focus on commuters, but half of bike rides are recreational
* It studied cycling in ten large cities
* Fatalities are going down
* Income level doesn't have much effect
* Women ridership is dropping as a % of total riders
* Rain doesn't affect the numbers as much as I had expected
* About 50% of cyclists are over 24
* It examines the impact of public policy on cycling

Oops! I forgot to include the link - and now I realize I don't know how to do it. So you will need to copy and paste -

Your link works fine. An interesting read. Nice to know fatalities are on the way down over all.

Bummer. I was hoping a benefit of low income might at least be I'm safer on my bike.
