Looking for a new lock

Got a used bike a little while ago and was wondering your opinions on a new lock.I was looking at spending around $45 max.
This is one I was looking at. http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_d...34374302692967
But I was also thinking about a U-lock and cable combo from OnGuard. Just wondering what you guys think. Or if there's any suggestions for other locks. And just so everyone knows I have a mountain bike.
Thanks
Dave

at 2M long its more practical than the 1M one, so you can secure both wheels frame
and attach it to something solid.

I have a 1.4m long chain, and a frame mounted ring lock, its just adequate in that way ,
and the ring lock secures the front wheel.
so W/O the ring /U lock that extra .6M will come in handy..

Might get one of those 2 M chains myself.
Where south of Canada.. Any place in say Seattle? , sell them down here
[Local shop only has some PB products not those..

How much did your bike cost and where will you be locking it?
If you have a $200 bike then an inexpensive cable or u-lock will work. If you'll be locking your bike in the ghetto then no lock is going to keep it safe, especially if it is a nice bike.

My bike is a sport mart bike 19.5 mountain bike disc brakes and adjustable preload on the forks. Its basically an entirely level xc mountain bike.I payed $140 for it but the same bike just sold last week for $250.And I lock it down town Ottawa sometimes.Well I would like to but don't trust the cheap u-lock I have now.It comes inside at night also.I usually only leave my bike locked out side somewhere for sort periods of time like a 1/2 hour or so.But sometimes that's all it takes. The front tire off my other bike got stolen my fault for not locking it though. And I have seen it in person it is heavy. But that i don't mind. The reviews were also good on it couple people sed they couldn't cut it with bolt cutter's. This is my first descent bike I have had.I don't want to lose it.
