nail polish HELP
so i have a few scratches on my bike and i thought id touch it up with clear nailpolish but in one spot it smudged and looks real bad, what can i use to remove it, i was told over time it will come off but some people say acetone free nail polish will do the trick, others a magic eracer....should i go with the acetone free nail polish remover???

i'm not sure if it'll work but when I got nail polish on my walls at home I used rubbing alcohol.

I believe liquid carwax would be better. You can polish it out with carwax, without worrying about fudging up your paint, and the nail polish will almost certainly come off gradually, so you can slow down and stop when it's all gone.
Good luck and let us know how it goes. |
i did both thanks guys i hit it with 1part rubbing alc 2 parts water, then washed it down with water, then polished it...it came out great

THEN test the solvent/cleanser/compound in question on a small, hidden area... |
thatstrue youre absoutly right if i would have taken off the paintwith the alcohol i would have been pissed lol i used a q tip though to keep the surface area to a minimal spot so in case something bad was to happen at least it wouldnt have been an entire spot....but thanks again now i feel compelled to polishing the entire bike haha

How does one get nail polish on their walls? And it sounds like this is a common occurrence? |
