So you do or don't want a postie kit.(short.) ? The Postie kit was available at their web site last I knew..
IF you just want a Nike short..I suspect the Trek bike chain would carry Postie and Nike cycling gear.

Seems like I have seen Nike Shorts at stores like Sports Chalet..Don't think Nike shorts specify a model number used for the making of Postie shorts..They either are or aren't Postie shorts...
The real Postie shorts seems are offered only through the USPS web site, as I recall - when I once did a search for such..I would either call or hit on the Trek store web site- since they are the major sponsor the the USPS team.
I have seen small bike shops and maybe it was Supergo who , at times, carried last years Postie kit..
