Lets have some fun
Hello to all, I am posting to invite anyone who is interested in joining myself and a group of friends to cycle the circumference of the Isle of Wight. Two years ago some friends a I rode round the iow to raise some money for a local charity, we decided that we would make it a fun day as we were expecting a verity of fitness levels, so we did it in fancy dress as super heros. We had such an enjoyable day that we decided to do it again the following year, and again this year. We have decided that this year we will raise money for Niomi House Chilrens Hospice, and that we will all dress as horse jockeys. We dont race around the iow although if riders wish to push themselfs up hills or have a blast for afew miles then you are more than welcome, but we do try to stay as a group as much as possible. This is happening on the 25th of JUNE 2011 we catch the 7:30am Red Funnel ferry from Southampton Hampshire. We arrive on the iow 1 hour later (cooked breakfast on the ferry crossing) and get going. The route is about 60 miles. We also contact local radio stations and ask them to let people know what we are up to and to be patient when passing us, and give us all a toot. We have many stops on the way round with a pub lunch washed down by a beer! Like i say we have a verity of bikes and riders from 1st time riders on mountain bikes to daily riders on carbon fiber road bikes, all are welcome!!! Any questions please feel free to get in touch. I really hope to see lots of you on the 25th of June at the Red Funnel terminal by 7:15am ready for the 7:30 ferry, dressed as jockeys. Dont miss this great fun day, thanks for taking the time to read this.

Sounds like a fun ride, and I'd be there if not for the vast distance!
