Peeing off the bike seems like a good way to pee on the bike. Peeing on the bike seems like a good way to wash the lube off the chain. The main thing that keeps me from trying to urinate from the bike, however, is the fear of crashing. I'd hate to be found lying in the road, unconcious, with my bike shorts down. The possibilities for abrasions and degloving are horrifying. I think I will just continue to play it safe and get off the bike to pee behind a tree.

Lance would never pee on the bike.

He would stop, get off, pee, sH#), eat, sleep, etc, then get on and win.

Or you could just modify a Camelback with the tube going into the, well you know what. That way you won't have to worry about making a mess.

I find it difficult enough taking a squirt in those tight riding shorts standing up (especially when sweaty).

One option I can see is if you pre-attach a flexable tube to your..., er, "discharge device", then run the tube down and out the leg of your shorts, and down the seat tube and dump out on the ground. But, unless you off-set it to the side enough, it would get on the back wheel and come back and hit you on your back and head!

But, I guess you could use an old water bottle as a catch-can in the cage on the seat tube. (Just don't forgot which one to drink out of!)

This wouldn't work to good with long pants. And, of course, don't forget to detach the tube before getting off the bike!

Umm... Rider... the whole point is to NOT pee in your pants.

There are tales of Tour riders having the misfortune of a bout of diarrhea mid-tour and having to just grin and bear it as their shorts rapidly filled due to shear determination to win.

This is only slightly related to the subject.
I just bought a new pair of Santini bibs. Many suggest bibs are inconvenient for taking a leak. The short's construction makes it easy to pee on the bike, if you so choose. They are the best fitting bibs I have ever experienced.
