Camelbak question
Hi,
I am thinking about buying a Camelbak since I am not too happy with the recent Hydrapak that I purchased.
Does anyone know if Camelbak sells a hydration pack that can have the tube routed from below the arm? If so, what is the model name? I cannot tell from all the models in their website.

my hubby has lots of those from military stuff. you can route the tube wherever you want cause it's long. he routes it under his arm and connects it to his shoulder.

Whats wrong with the regular routing over the shoulder? Your mouth is next to your shoulder.

numb nut routing it over your shoulter will leave the end of the tube where the mouth peice is down my your wasit unless you like bring it back up some way

It never made sense to me to use your hands to get the mouthpiece. This is supposed to be hands-free hydration. That is why I prefer to route under the arm and just bend my head to drink.

Over the shoulder works for me... if the tube is down by your waist cut some of it off.

Guess I have about 4 different models of Camelback that I use for sking and bicycling, but they all have one thing in common. If you route that tube down over your shoulder and then loop it up through the loop in the sternum strap - the mouthpiece ends up in your face and its a hands free operation. It was designed that way.

Don't get me wrong, it sounds like a good idea, they just need to scale up the bag a bit. The ad copy says it was invented by someone who wanted hydration for a 100 mile mountain race and that just doesn't seem like enough water to get that done to me. At my usual usage rates on a hot day, I'd kill that bag in about 2 hours and be nowhere near the end of such a ride.
