Bike cover

Where would I find a cover to go over our road bikes when we haul them?

Typed in the search term "bike cover" into my nifty Google browser bar and here's a sample of the links:

The only bike covers I`ve ever seen are intended to shelter a stationary bike from the elements. If you`re looking to protect your bikes while on an exterior car rack or trailer I doubt they`d be suitable. The covers are so lightweight that the wind forces at highway speeds would rip them to shreds.

You might have better luck looking at a cover for a small motorcycle and even then it would have to be well secured.

I bought one that is supposed to cover over two bikes on the back of a car. Pretty durable with clear-ish portions where tail-lights might be. I'll go through my records and see if I have the make and model. Pretty sure I got it through Amazon after doing a search for "bicycle cover".

EDIT: Found it with a search!

It's made out of a really quite tough material. There are zippers at each end for ease of getting it on/off or fitting something longer under it. It's also got outlets in it for handlebars to stick out for one of the bikes.

Loose fabric can flap against the bike and cause scuffing of the finish. Don't know if you care, but that's something to consider.

Thanks...will check this one out!!!

Do not want it flapping against the bikes, that's for sure!

I haven't used ours behind a car yet, but it is quite stiff, mostly holding its shape when over a bike. It really only comes in contact with the seat, ends of the handle bars and the tires/fenders. I wouldn't worry about the paint of our bikes at all with it.
