Non-clipless cycling shoes?
Is there a such thing as a stiff soled cycling shoe without the clips? I'm trying to find them on my own here but when the words "cycling" and "shoes" are in a search together, the results are all for clipless shoes. I found a few people who liked Vans but that's about it.

Mtn/touring style spd shoes can easily be used without cleats. The usually come with a piece of sole material covering the cleat area. It must be removed to use cleats.

There are quite a few out there: Dromarti (Italian and expensive), I believe that Chrome (the bag people) make some that are suitable too. I have an old pair of Avenir touring shoes that work well.

A "stiff soled cycling shoe" is any quality shoe with a substantial street type walking sole be it athletic shoe or leather causal/work shoe.
Flip flops or sandals are not safe cycling shoes since they provide no support ,or protection, to the entire foot.
