Sunburned

I went looking for sunburn ointment and found that it's hard to find and none of it works. I need an Aloe Vera plant

Also: the WalGreens and RiteAid I went to didn't sell sun block. WTF?

My girlfriend brought home some stuff from walgreens a while back that was an aloe vera gel that you put in the fridge. Worked wonders for me.

The best cure for sunburn is to cover up before hand

Anyhow, I seem to feel worse after the initial relief of aloe. I usually try to tough it out that day. Take a cool shower, dry off, but on a light cotton T and sleep lightly. Unless it's severe and in a stretchy spot, I always feel better in the morning.

mine's on my outer forearm up to where short sleeve cuts off and where wrist is; and apparently on the leg, front side only, above the knee to where shorts cut off.

Just ice the area ... ice on for 10 minutes, off for 10-20 minutes, on for 10 minutes etc. for an evening.

Next time use sunscreen. I recommend Neutrogena's Dry Touch.

.My wife has about a dozen Aloe Vera plants, but I prefer to cover up. I was out today in an atypical Seattle day ( sunny ) and was covered pretty much head to toe. Zinc Oxide covered my nose.

These are 30+ UPF, I should get some.

I can vouch for these though; I have this in small/medium short sleeve and every inch of my body covered by the damn thing is a pasty white.

Vitamin E and keep the skin moist/cool. Cover up, getting sunburned really raises your risk for the big C.
