Congrats! That's a lot of gravel. Makes my feet tired thinking about it.

I rode 197, 17k two weeks ago. Longest a few more than that.

Longest overall ride:

My longest (single day) ride was 132.7 miles, earlier this summer. That was actually easier than a 100 mile ride with ~50% gravel. Usually my allotted time away from home runs out before my body does.

@Hypno Toad, Incredible - and on gravel!? Oof.

Longest for me was a month ago, 132 miles, 2600ft of climb. All on nice rail trails that were paved.

Hypno Toad, that is very impressive! Congrats!

My longest one-day ride was 203 miles...Seattle-to-Portland. 10:10 ride time, 11:11 total time. (Easy to remember, even ten years later.) 'Course, that was relatively flat, at sea level, and paved. But it still left me pretty tired.

My longest ride ever was 102 miles which was an organized ride. Plan to do it again a week from tomorrow, but not sure if I'll go the full distance or not. Of course I wasn't sure I would last year either but I did it and could have even ridden more if I wanted, but by that time I was ready to get off the bike.

Sunday I'm going to do a metric century in order to make sure I'm trained up for the full century.

75 miles, but I can easily do 60 miles with a minimal (4 minute) granola bar break and nothing else.

I really do need to push myself further.

So far, 50 miles, and am ready for more. I have a 62 mile ride coming up in September. I'd like to work towards a century.

Clifford,

Do you have any lungs left or didn't you have smoke down in Eugene?

June of '17, 157 miles from my front door to Sea World in San Diego. Solo the whole way, and it was physically okay, but mentally... rough. I don't think I could do 200 miles solo. The mind really wanders.

In one day? 109 miles. ~7K’ climbing.Solo and unsupported .

I meant to do 102 miles and about 500’ less climbing but I read a map wrong.

I’ve done mountain bike rides under 30 miles that were harder, though.

60 miles, I need TWO granola (well, more like energy) bar, one each after 20 miles and a good glass of chocolate milk when I get home

We have the smoke here, but it isn't anything like it was last year (which I also rode from Portland to Eugene in, it was pretty surreal as I passed Independence).

This year, between Salem and Talbot, I started smelling smoke and looking around to see what was burning.... then it dawned on me that I was just smelling the air.

Anyway, at least over the last few days, the smoke in Eugene has been about half that in Portland, so I'm happy to have gotten away from Portland.

Oh, did I mention, that the 160 miles last week was all towing a loaded bike trailer.

I did my first 600k brevet (~375 miles) this summer... but that drifts over into two days (although it's all one ride, 40 hour time limit).

66 miles. I've done lots of 50+ rides, but my brain starts to want to do something else much over that.

I'm considering a 71 mile club ride in October..

That ferry looks familiar. Is it the one between Wilsonville and Canby?

462.4 kms (287.3 miles)

Longest Event: any of the four 1200K randonnees I've completed: Rocky Mountain 1200 (2002), Paris-Brest-Paris (2003), Great Southern Randonnee (2004), and Last Chance (2005). I think the Paris-Brest-Paris was the longest at 1212 km or something like that. And for those unfamiliar with randonneuring, they are timed events, so for the 1200 km distance, the time limit is 90 hours including all breaks. I finished all of mine between 88 and 89.5 hours.

Longest Tour: 5000 km over 3 months in Australia in 2004.
Still.
