winter trainer and dvd's?
 

I don't like thinking about it, but I need to purchase a trainer and a decent dvd program for the long winter months. I looked at a kurt kinetic and several dvd's training programs, but really don't know which are better or worse. All suggestions welcome, thanks.

I have a cheap mag resistance trainer that I got many moons ago from some shop. Nothing really fancy like the kinetic ones but does the job for when it's cold and dark outside. As for DVD's I have a set that simulate riding in scenic areas that I got off fleabay.

I use the Spinervals DVDs. I have about 4 of them. I just randomly picked them up without any thought as to a training program. They are entertaining enough to keep from getting bored. I use rollers for riding on mostly because I'm too lazy to set my bike up on a trainer.

I see there is another thread on trainers which confirms my idea the kurt kinetic is a decent choice. I saw the spinervals program and also wonder about a program from cyclo club? They are pricey, but they look to cover everything and are intense.

Looks like a worthy project, but way to complex for the amount of free time I have. I did look at those TDF trainers where it follows maps from google earth, but I read on here where the software it pretty shotty. I like the concept of the trainer elevating on climbs and increasing/decreasing resistance based on the elevations of the map.
