Is your community here? These awards are over the past several years.

The League of American Bicyclists has announced these awards.

Looks like Oregon, California, Colorado, Arizona, Florida seem to have about the most cities.

Andy Clarke, Executive Director of the League, said, "Communities designated by the League as Bicycle Friendly have completed a rigorous application and review process (just 44 of the 98 applicants have been granted the BFC award). More importantly, they have shown themselves willing to invest in creating a better, more livable environment for their citizens. BFCs typically enjoy levels of bicycle use that are well above the national average and consequently they are reaping the rewards of cleaner air, less congestion, safer streets, and a more active and healthy population.

I'm an LAB member and support them, but I laugh out loud at some of their choices. It looks like they heavily weight cities that have dedicated cycling paths, which doesn't necessarily correlate to being a bicycle friendly city. For example, when riding in Northern Virginia or DC area, all I can do is try not to get hit by speeding motorists honking and telling me to get off the road. Same in Orlando FL. I do like what LAB does, I just would have made different choices.
