$120 for a good bike. That probably means hunting on Craigslist. You're gonna need a pretty big bike. You may need to expand your budget or be more flexible about you are willing to ride.

For new bikes ~$120 is only going to get a "Walmart" bike and "Walmart" bikes usually only come in one size and generally don't come in sizes for really tall people such as yourself.
If you go to your LBS (local bike shop), then you'll probably find that the entry level bikes start at ~$350, but they'll have a lot of options and different sizes to choose from, they can order in a bike your size, etc, etc, etc. Check out www.performancebike.com and that will give you an idea of how much you'll end up spending at an LBS.
That Escape 2 is pretty much "entry level" and that's a ~$400 bike.

I just spent $500 on a new bike. Assuming you want to stick close to your budget and want a decent bike that fits properly, then you'll need to used - Craigslist and pawnshops.

Google says it's ebay classifieds.
Bikesdirect.com and bikeisland.com will have good deals from time to time. Sometimes you can pick up a deal because they're trying to unload their last 3 XXL frames, however, it seems more often than not they have overstock of small frames.
You can always invest in something used and if you think you're going to take seriously, then you buy the ~$4-500 bike.
