Lawer in Philly?

Hey Everyone! My friend was hit by a car while biking the other day. He is physically OK, but the person is now trying to get him to pay for the scratches on the car. He lives in the Philly area. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Casey

someone hit your friend with their car and they are trying to get him to pay for the scratches on their car which I assume they caused? Was there an accident report filed with the police? Personally I'd laugh at them tell them not to contact me again and give them the number to my attorney.

Have your friend immediately go the police station today, and file an accident report, describing how the culprit negligently hit him while he was abiding by all traffic laws.

Monday or Tuesday, go to an accident attorney and give the attorney the culprits personal info, such as name, address, phone #, and insurance provider.

Have the culprit pay dearly for his infractions against both the state's traffic laws and its citizens.

I didn't see anything in the OP to indicate which party may have been at fault in the incident.

Does your friend have either home owner's or renter's insurance? If so he should check if it provides liability coverage for him when he's bicycling.
In that case the insurance company would be in a position to answer the claims filed by the motorist.

I think it was a double falt. The driver didn't have their turn signal on and my friend didn't come to a complete stop at a stop sign. Anyway, he has done all of this stuff, but is looking for some reference for an attorney in the Philly area. Does anyone have experience with one? Or is anyone an attorney that can help my friend out?
THANK!

Why do people automatically assume who was at fault? But the OP did say his friend was hit. I guess that can be misconstrued.
