I often find myself on these forums with a keen will to discuss unicycling, anything about it.
But so many times i come on, realize that i have replied to all the ones i could, and then i just sort of browse around reading threads that have been here for months, that seem to be getting old with no replies. Well this is not really a discussion thread or specified topic thread. I just wanted a thread where i could go and say anything I have to say about unicycles. If I happened to have been riding down the street and something unusual happened ..I would like to be able to share it here. or if I heard something about unicycling that I needed verified by fellow unicyclers, my request would be that i can ask it on this thread. those are only a couple of uses for this thread. basically its a anything pertaining to unicycles thread. have fun. A question for Porcelain_Uni
Hi Porcilain
I do not know many tricks myself nor do I desir to learn many. I want to manuver well and ride long long long distances. Do you ever ride long distances - say 5 to 40 miles? What size wheel do you use? Jazzlife |
Hi Hannah,
What kind of uni do you ride? Do you ever go distance ridding? Jazzlife (Bruce) |
sorry it took so long, i havent been online in awhile.
yah i have always wondered if i had what it takes to do one of those cross country deals. ive never tried to go more than 2miles on it really. and i have no idea what size wheel i have ! its a savage though i know that much. i hope i answered your questions. how long have you been unicyling? |
stupid towel covered seat
Alright.
So while i was just learning to ride my unicycle, it was pretty much a given that the thing would fall. And fall. And the seat would get busted. Well I had foam popping out of the cover and tape all over it, and looking generally pretty gross . So you put a towel on it. Right? Except the towel doesnt stay on right, looks worse , and is getting holes in it all the time (especially if i let some kids use it and it gets dropped on the ground alot) so what im asking for are suggestions, alternatives and sympathetic comments thankyou...i would appreciate any replies. |
hey
that is a problem i do not have. i have one of those rubber seats.....not too comfortable....but unbreakable. i try to do drop offs as often as i can (i just started so i fall a lot while droping off stuff) and i've leant my uni to quite a few people who wanted to try it....but still it looks brand new (except for a white stain that all af a sudden appeared.....look like white out....could be a prank for a friend.) anyway....if you really want a tough seat...get a rubber one or maybe one with a bumper.......i never tried those, but i imagine it protects the seat. gnein |
seat
gnien,
thanks i ll check into that. ps i have bumpers on the seat i have , they help but are in need of replacement. |
winter... winter..
I live in Michigan.
it is very cold and there is snow all over the ground.. its icy and a very horrible place in the winter however i still like unicycling year round i was wondering if anyone had these same circumstances and what they did about it. ie .. whether or not they still ride on the icy roads and sidewalk.. stuff like that.. or if they wouldnt advise people to do it if they think it matters at all if the surface is icy.. etc. im open to suggestions and would appreciate replys. thanks.. |
above..
about the above comment..
if you want to reply you can do that on my other thread, winter uni'ing (unless of course you dont feel like it.. then i cant stop you.) thanks.. |
