Equipment: Tires

Hi I have a front suspension MTB and I am doing paved paths for now in east TN.
What is a good tire?
Minimal tread-wear is more important, then traction on elevation changes and curves. As well as flat tire resistance, of course. Weight really isn't important.

I have 26x2 Schwalbe Marathon Supreme tires on my bike. They're not cheap, but they're great tires. Give them a look!

+1 on Schwalbe marathon for longevity. But don't buy into the puncture protection myth; I've found them to be just as prone to punctures as any other tire which is why I have Mr Tuffy liners in mine.
