As I was riding this morning, and realized I had forgot chamois cream, I felt an irritation begin around the taint area and, for some odd reason, remembered this post. How did your penis get roughed up? I had to scoot way back on my saddle to get mine anywhere near rubbing.

Glad I am not circumsized.......reading this!

To the OP. You really need to continue using the Saran Wrap, and a real tight rubber band to hold it on. After about three days the source of your problem will be gone -- for good . . .

Peanus-a cross between penis and anus??? aka taint?
|
Cut hole in riding shorts and let it hang out to dry!
Seriously you may need a NEW saddle, they do wear out. The baby sock idea is good/funny and it will keep things warmer in winter! Proper bike fit and saddle setup. Yes, as we get older (am 79) the bike needs to be re-adjusted a bit to our body. In over 300,000 miles of cycling have never had or heard of that problem! |
Just hope you don't form a callus.

Just for the record, That part is called the glans.
I'd see a doctor. It's possible you may have, with associated heat issues, etc., a tinea infection (tinea is the athletes foots fungus). Tinea will thrive where it's moist and warm. Don't ask me how I know this. |
Ok, now I got it. Yeah, at times I spell too fast and don't think before I spell. My mind misleads me. STUPID!!! Now I understand what one of the first guys was talking about. Even after reading that I still didn't get it. I need slapped.
After thinking back through the summer and more importantly the past couple of weeks as well as watching today what happened, I think LarDasse74 might have the winner on this one. I've noticed that it always seems like when I run into the problem that the penis(spelled correctly this time) hasn't been hugging tight to the body. Other times when it is I'm naturally not even noticing it so I don't pay any attention. Like I said I've only had it happen once with the new cycling shorts, just within the past week or two and at that time it did seem like they were loose for some reason. I'm not sure why though. I've only had them 2 months so they shouldn't be 'sagging'. I'm going to watch/experiment while out riding tomorrow/the next several weeks and see if I can manage to keep the fit tighter and see if that stops the problem from occuring. Something tells me that it will. |

Old thread but it's a timeless one for the few of us who have this problem, thus the bump.
I've hit on an answer that works well for me. Updated my old post & repeated here.

Found something that makes it 98% better and it's easy: 3M 'Kind Removal' tape. I cut it to the right size & shape, rectangular close to square. I add a kitchen plastic wrap (Saran, etc.) strip across the center where I really don't want it to stick. Actually, have taken to pre-inserting a long strip of the plastic into the roll of tape. Cut pieces off when I need a fresh piece. Each one lasts a few applications before the adhesive gives up. Bring extras on the back of your credit cards, etc.

Jeez man, work it out. Sling it to the other side, tie a knot, get a Prince Albert, check the drag on your reel.......
BTW, the "MEN ONLY" title all but assures the women here will view it. I'm surprised none has posted. Though I don't know that for sure. :p |
Trolling, trolling, over the deep blue sea...

Sounds like you need some of Boudreaxs' butt cream!!!

This thread is getting creepily near "how to make artificial foreskin".

Love it.
And just in case it's serious: Wearing the wrong equipment (jeans), the wrong equipment that wears out fast thus making it more expensive. And rubs your dick raw as a bonus. Just so you can say what? You don't wear cycling shorts. Well, we who do wear cycling shorts spend less money to not rub our "peanuses" raw. |
