it`s happened to me when i turned and bent to the left accidentally very quickly to stop...normally i can stop,but this time by bending i amplified the move,near to fall down...
yes,i ride an inexpensive mountain bike,full suspension...it matters?

sorry,i named `yo-yo effect` without knowing that this expression was allready used for diet,better was gyroscopic effect...

I believe the experiment you referenced was how they proved that the gyroscopic effect does not keep a bicycle upright. I think now, it is believed that general frame geometry and inertia are what keep a bike up and rolling in one direction.
