I placed my order on February 3rd and received it today (February 11). I'd have to give 8 calendar days for free UK to USA a 5 star rating and on top of that I saved a bundle vs the best prices I could find on Amazon or eBay. FWIW, my last order from Amazon took 8 calendar days.

I just ordered some components from them last week. Ordered Jan. 31st, shipped Feb. 1st, received Feb. 5th.

Ribble has been good to me on a regular basis, never out of stock for my orders. The free shipping offer results in about 8 day shipment to Seattle. Have not been charged on customs fees - my max purchase was about $400. They send an immediate email confirming order and another when it ships, only downside is no tracking on free shipments. |
I started to use Ribble few months ago without any problem so far . I placed an order for a SIDI wired shoes ( yes , they are worth every penny ) few days ago . Can't wait to try them on .

Just bought some Stronglight Dural chainrings from them. Best price on the internet!

Well, since the Canadian taxpayer kindly staked me to life-saving quadruple bypass surgery, I try and return the favor by spending
my money and sales tax at home as much as possible. |

Yeah I saw that too. Somewhere it said that they would operate "in tandem" (pun not intended), and there is a lot of speculation as to whether it will affect their prices. The merger has to be approved by the governmental agency (don't recall the name).

Never used Ribble nor Chain Reaction, but last month I did place my first order with Merlin Cycles. The price for a Shimano WH-RX31 wheelset was utterly unbelievable. So fantastic that I paid for the expedited, tracked shipping. It arrived so fast, from Ireland to the West Coast that I could hardly believe it. Only 'gotcha' is that they use DHL, and someone has to sign for a delivery, (I wasn't going to have them leave a wheelset on the front porch all day). Since I am by myself and work during the day to pay the mortgage, I had to reschedule for the following Friday when I would be home.
Other than DHL, I was pretty happy with the transaction, so, about a week later, I placed an order for a 6800 cassette. This time I did not pay for the expedited, tracked shipping . . . and I am still awaiting delivery. The stated delivery window closes at the end of this week, and I'm not sure what to do if it doesn't arrive, since there is no tracking, I have no idea where in the pipeline the cassette is. In the future, I'll continue to use Merlin as the need arises, but will pay the extra for tracked shipping. Having a really difficult time right now not jumping on an Ultegra WH-6800 wheelset. $302! Come on! That's a Ben Franklin less that the cheapest price I every paid on eBay for an Ultegra wheelset, (good wheels, by-the-way). They have Dura-Ace C24 wheels for a steal of a deal too! The retailing system in the U.S. is broken. No wonder shops are closing. |
I am about to get a Ribble 7005 Ultralite Tiagra SE. I love the price and the bike being different. This specs 1000X's better than any Bikes Direct Bike. I just want to make sure I don't have to adjust anything and just hop on and ride

Wow. Smokin' ride man. 7000 series aluminum and ITM bars and stem for 600 bucks? Nice white color, too. Thanks for using bold font, too. It makes it so much easier to read. |

I'm a big fan of Ribble....got a 105 5800 group last summer when they were $320, and Ultegra wheels when they were $290. 2 gatorskins were $48, which is the price of one tire on Amazon! I order most everything from them and I have ordered from wiggle and Merlin as well. All three have been great. Sometimes shipping takes a week or two if you decide to go non-expedited, so have to plan what you need in advance.

I bought this as a frame and built it up. It was a spare parts build for fun and I'm really happy with it.
However, I'm not sure about the "I just want to make sure I don't have to adjust anything and just hop on and ride". I'd have to think that the headset/stem will need setting and adjusting. Probably have to install pedals. You should always check derailleur limit screws before riding a new bike as it can be a disaster if they are wrong. Can't hurt to do a overall check for everything tight - and should be done again after a ride or 2. http://i.imgur.com/Rc416DV.jpg |

Buying from these UK cycling sites is a good old US cyclist trick because they have price controls and subsidies on cycling goods. This is due to the government actually thinking cycling is a good thing for people to do in the UK. So the prices are always good.

I have bought from Ribble, Wiggle, SJS, and Bike24 in Germany. All were great to deal with.

Just bought a 105 groupset CX5 from Ribble in May. Looked locally but they couldnt touch the price. It has been great. No problem with Ribble at all.
Their bike builder site is fantastic cuz you can get exactly what you want and immediately see the effect on price. |
