Plenty of "Freds" in Golf, I always Golf alone, I am a scratch golfer, show up to be added to a threesome with equipment and clothe that must have cost more then a new car... Got some 20 year old clubs, WM clothes, I love the looks I get " before we start to play" then on the second or third hole things seem to change! Freds are OK, just another Internet invention by people without regular jobs 9 or (lives)

First of all, log off BF and never come back. Anyone who sticks around this place for more than 10 posts is, by definition, a fred.

Fred you Fred...

Don't want to be a "Fred"?

Never have a better bike or kit than someone who thinks that they are more deserving by their awesome, in their mind anyway, cycling skills.

You've never been a snob, Beanz! It'd be wonderful if I could get some riding time!!

Mountain bikers don't care how you look or what you ride, as long as you just pedal. Same as commuters.

Considering the amount of grief I get for riding my fat tire touring bikes or cross tire equipped SS on the local mountain bike trails, I'll have to disagree. Of course, I haven't seen nearly the degree of snobbiness from mountain bikers that I have from roadies...

I've been reading the posts about Fred. I think he's a pretty good guy. He's a lot like me. We both have frame pumps, lights, bells, platform pedals, cut-off shorts, sandals, the list goes on.

Leebo 02-03-12 03:05 PM

Six jours, are you out pedaling them? Of course they are upset, they spent more $, have bigger tires, more suspension. Worse if you're fixxed or SS.

Six jours 02-03-12 08:45 PM

Nah, I'm old and fat. The only people I pass are going the other way. But many of them still feel compelled to enlighten me re. the adequacy of my bike. Apparently full suspension is required any time you leave the pavement. At least here in SoCal...

I love my bike's kickstand.

fietsbob 02-06-12 10:55 AM

I built my loaded touring bike around the custom Kickstand ..
