Riding in the AM is addictive
3 weeks of riding in the morning and I find myself disappointed when I look at the computer and see that I have hit the turnback point for this week. Last week it was 25km and that got to easy. This week its 30km and its hardly any harder than 25km. At this rate in the 2 hours I have to cycle between 4:30am and 6:30am I'm going to have push it to 50km before I actually feel like its any sort of workout.

I'm not a morning person at all, but I've gotta admit that when I'm out riding RAGBRAI, those early morning hours are the best. :thumb:

If you don't have time to up the distance, it is time to upshift and work on speed. Then, once you get your speed up a couple of notches, increase the distance again.

Wish I could go faster... but at 5am its way to dark to go much faster than 25km/h on a cycle path with black dressed joggers coming the other way, Despite the fact there is a running path they STILL run in the cycle way. :mad:
