Arkel has excellent customer service!!
Arkel has wonderful customer service! I ordered a hook kit to be sent to me in Latvia.(They ship to Latvia!!) It never arrived, due to NO fault of Arkel. It was the shipping company that made the mistake. Paul at Arkel was very helpful, helping me track down where the package was and finding the right people to solve the problem.
He COULD have just said; I shipped it, it's not my problem. BUT INSTEAD he took the time to help me sort it all out. In a world of HyperMarts it's nice to know that customer service is still alive and well. I know where I'm buying my next panniers from. Thanks Arkel.

you should write the company a letter of appreciation and specifically mention that guys name. employees like that should be recognized for their good work. who knows, maybe he'll get a little bonus out of it or at least a good review.

I second the good customer service. I recently broke the male part of one of the buckles on my Arkel Briefcase pannier. I emailed asking if I could buy a replacement. They sent me two for free. I sent a thank you email to the guy I corresponded with after I received it in the mail. I went to roadbikereview.com where I intended to give them a good review since I have had very good use of the briefcase pannier even before I got the replacement buckle part. Unfortunately I didn't see any Arkel products listed. Perhaps I need to suggest to the review site that they Arkel bags.

Yeah, I got the bug pannier and the straps for the backpack straps were too short for me. So they sent me strap extensions and some money to take it to a cobbler and get the extensions put in. Worked like a charm. Awsome product durability and customer service. Only Arkel for me.
