Help with carbon fiber

hey guys, i didnt know where else to ask this, so here goes. i was at the local co-op today and i got some "spokes" from a carbon fiber wheel, and i want to make something out of them, does anyone know if it is possible to bend these "spokes", and if so how? thanks alot! matt

doesnt anyone know how to work with already "sealed" carbon fiber?

Are you talking about pre-preg carbon fibre, or carbon fibre that's already set (dry)? Cured carbon fibre isn't going to bend much before it shatters...

thats the answer i was looking to here, i figured as much, but i didnt know if i heated it or something if it would

it's not ductile. brittle, hence the catastropihic failure mode without deformation beforehand.
perhaps you didn't catch the meaning of the ! in front of the =.
