My best finds were a Milwaukee corded " drill and 7 of 8 set of like new craftsmen reversable ratcheting combo wrenches with the holder. Couple of cell phones returned and got $20 and 1 - $20 bill

That's the quote I was looking for, thank you.

Also I find reflective vests and red traffic flags. Which I've put to good use.

Several years ago I found an empty cash drawer from a cash register. I still wonder how that got there.

I picked up a copy of Rollercoaster Tycoon (CD-ROM) a few years back. . . that's about it. Couple cell phones, one working (Nextel), one not working (AT&T). Had no luck returning either.

All I ever see now is assorted debris and dead animals.

I used to live across the street from an auto dealers shop. The mechs would exit right in front of my house, and a lot of loose tools got droppped in the street over the years.

Amazing what can be found along the road, I guess they all fell from a boat on there way home. Today saw a knife, turns out to be a SOG Flash II, in good shape, also found three dollars. Found a new fillet knife last week.
What a small world, I also live in Spring Hill. I started commuting to work about 2 weeks ago. I haven't seen anything worthy on the side of the road, yet.

I found two necklaces. One was a mens stainless steel and is actually in good shape. The other is possibly silver and has a pewter (I think) dragon charm- this one is in rough shape. I have also found a few sockets.

I'm glad to hear someone else passed up a girl for bike riding. My mate has been giving me heaps because I turned down a last-minute date with a friend because I had a bike ride planned. No doubt I am off her list for the future but....

Many years ago in a well-known tourist town, during a big event weekend in off-peak quiet time around sunrise, alongside the MUP connecting a couple of the larger hotels with the beach I found a zippered leather pouch approximately 6" x 4" x 2". There was no one else around at the moment, but literally thousands of tourists in town for the weekend. This pouch contained a significant quantity of ... substances and associated gear. Also, folded and tucked neatly in a separate compartment was $400.

I knew I'd soon pass a place where the police sit with radar. I guess I chose the sorta middle ground, morally. I pocketed the cash then rode up to the officer's window and handed him the pouch.
"Good morning. Hey I found this down near the beach. I think it contains controlled substances"
*unzips, looks inside* "Yes, it sure does. Thanks."
"Have a good day."
"You too."

.. and rode off.

I could have squandered the whole wad on some nice toys, and not even needed to hide it from the Spousal Unit - she kinda has that "easy come easy go " attitude about surprises and windfalls - but I didn't. As I recall I DID buy myself one whoppin' wonderful celebration lunch that day then stirred the rest into the general family fund.
