Do bike trainers not fit all bikes?
I just bought a used Travel Trac V Century Fluid Trainer and it doesn't fit either of my road bikes. I have a 52cm road bike with 700x23c wheels and a 53cm road bike with 700x25 wheels and neither seem to fit. The right pedal hits the metal piece that provides the fluid resistance. It fits other bikes fine. My girlfriends extra small hybrid bike with 32 wheels work. I'm guessing that the wheel size is the problem, but I thought that trainers were supposed to fit all bikes. Am I missing something. Could I have done something wrong? I read the instructions twice and they are pretty straightforward. I googled the issue and I can't find any posts from anyone with similar problems.
Thanks.
Thanks.

If the pedal hits the resistance unit, I think you put the bike in backwards. Try it the other way.

Uh huh. I got into a really dumb situation, and asked. The answer was perfect, and perfectly obvious. Much better than not having asked.

That was an easy one! FWIW no not all bikes will fit on all trainers. I have a trainer that has been around for a while, I wanted to mount my wife's 3 speed on it...No joy, has to be a quick release wheel.

Years ago when I was being trained at my job, the guy training me said there's no such thing as a dumb question. That is until it's asked 8 or 10 times.
How you going to know, if you don't ask?
