Bad rim tape = Very bad day
My new bike form performance had a flat yesterday going to school, I was still close to home so I walked home to fix the flat. When I got home I found that the rim tape had deformed enough to let the tube expand into the inner rim enough to pop. But I still had to do to school so I replaced the tube and went to school and came home, them in the middle of the night(sleeping) it popped again wakening me
So today I called performance informed them of the problem, and demand that they replace the tape with quality fabric rim tape and replace the TWO tubes destroyed. luckily they said OK and now my bike is in there shop until the 13th.
So sorry all, I'm just had to vent, really mad because I cant ride my bike till then.

Good to hear that Performance is taking care of the problem. Heavy rim tape is indeed a very good idea. I still have one of my rims taped with gaffer's tape, which is holding up well enough, but really need to replace it one of these days. It's an easy thing that can eliminate the chance of headaches that I don't think you should really have to deal with.
