MAN UP guys
Recently on the BIKE FORUM I have noticed a lot of whining about chuck holes, pushy drivers,
the heat, telling wife about getting hit by a car lol, cramps, feeling like throwing up, wondering about how safe riding a bike is lol.
I have a 4 year old grandson he has been riding a 2 wheeler since he was three, when he falls he doesnt say a word just gets back on his bike and keeps riding. He rode 8 miles on a 16" wheel single speed bike last weekend, against the wind and up hills never saying a peep. After the ride he says bampa(he has a slight speech impairment) I love riding my bike.
You whining guys need to man up like my grandson,,or just find a field with some short grass and ride in circles.

Seriously. In the good old days real men got a bike at age 3, and by god, they rode that thing forever and never complained.

I worked with a guy in a very busy courier office. He used to say 'stop whining' loudly about 3 times a day. It was done with humor and in a nice way. I used to enjoy it. (possibly because he never got to use it on me)

I can remember when I didn't have so far to fall and gained much less momentum when I did fall.

I like whining. It turns off the women, which ensures they'll never sleep with me, which ensures I'll never get one pregnant, which ensures I'll never have to pay child support.

I remember falling two feet when I was kid and skinning my knee. I also remember the Toyota that hit me when I was an adult. Also the emergency room.

Whining about the whiners isn't really that charming either.
Plus, I have no interest in manning up. I like my gender and it's toughness just fine (hint: It's really, really, tough)

There is only one grandchild that is superior to everyone else'...every grandfather has them!
This little chiding from the OP is not going nearly as well as he might have thought. I'm sure it sounded like a good idea inside his head instead of the dooshy nature that it is being taken.

Okay, I admit that I couldn't MAN UP at 3, it took me until 5 on my JC Higgins, way back in 1954. My son made up for it by riding a 2 wheeler at age 3. My grandson is only 17 months old, but just you wait!!! Who says the younger generation isn't better than us elders?

and I am sure he will ride at three and wont be crying about chuck holes, the heat and the extreme dangers of bike riding lmao the ones whining on here need to leave biking to the tough guys like your grandson and take up knitting or tiddly winks.
and for the other guy,,the post went exactly as I thought it would,,cry babys cry even more when you point them out.
Funny thing I am on 3 other forums about biking and there is no whining about biking on them.

Long ago when I learned that I didn't have to show my mancard to anyone who demanded to see it, life got a whole lot easier.

Some people ride because they like having something to constantly tinker on.
Some people ride for fitness.
Some people ride to prove something to themselves, and the people around them.
Some people ride because it is the most efficient method of getting where they are going.
Undoubtedly there are plenty more reasons that people ride. However, one certainty is that many of them will respond to riding, and comment about it, differently than I do. In the end, thats just fine; it's still one less car.
. . . but, the OP is still coming of as a real whiner.
