But" being new to Bikes " is a prime reason to cope with bike shops,
Until are skilled enough to do your own service work.
MEC as a walk in customer Will be OK, or at least have a Bike shop put it together or
check your work of DIY. for adjustments , since you are just started on mechanics.

25 years ago i had purchased a used Bianchi and a used Cannondale with the eccentric chain ring . After being advised my gearing was going to hurt my knees on a climb up Boulder Canyon I went to a third shop and told them what i needed , A road bike with mountain gearing . . I wound up with a Trek 1420 a triple with a 28/28 low gear finally i was able to enjoy the mountains. I weighed 200 lbs then and it , and me survived a 35 mph, encounter with a fist size rock on the road.
I still ride it.
Hint: get wide range of gearing because you never now where you will be riding
Now back to the OP question
I have had good luck with Bikes Direct and you can email them with your questions.

Here are a few UK online retailers. Most of them will ship for free, or based on a small minimum order. There is no duty on bicycle parts from the UK. Depending on which retailer, some will even charge you in CDN Dollars on your visa card (ie: no conversion rate on currency

Here's a list:

https://www.probikekit.com/us/
https://www.totalcycling.com/
https://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/
https://www.evanscycles.com/

Hope it helps.
