It's a good idea to leave the door of any front load washing machine open when not in use.

Secondly ...
Why don't you do the laundry yourself one day? Make sure the washer is clean and dry to start. Use laundry detergent and borax. Then as soon as the wash cycle is finished, put the clothes directly into the dryer until you are sure they are dry ... then maybe hang them in the sun for a little while just to be absolutely sure.
