After riding with him last night, I've decided I'm going to talk to the manager. I've know the manager and most of the staff for years, but only known this guy for about 6-8 months (as long as he's been at the shop). He's got some serious issues and he discusses them with customer's. I'm pretty sure they're trying to get him to quit on his own without firing him. A light conversation with him always turns into his theories about the end of the world coming, and he's going to stock-pile weapons.

I'm not over-emphasizing this...those were the words he used.

A thought - maybe better not to get him fired.

Well I don't think the manager is going to say "You're fired because Pedal said you're cuckoo for cocoa puffs."

Besides he didn't say AK47's and grenades, he said hand buzzers (I think he meant tazers) and smart guns (no idea what he meant).

I saw a fellow at an LBS who was wearing braces on his teeth. Why does everyone who works at an LBS have crooked teeth? You'd think they's come up with some way to make certain that only those with perfectly aligned teeth could work at an LBS! I hope no one with crooked teeth ever works on my bike.

what is your preoocupation with this guy-are you going to to try and wreck everyone´s life that you meet who exaggerates and talks about weapons - you are going to be busy - or here´s a thought -maybe you should just leave well alone

Webist and royalflash, I'm neither going to defend my opinion nor let this turn into a thread about 'right to bear arms'.

I come to this forum to discuss cycling matters, which may include LBS experiences. If you want to be argumentative, there's a politics/religion forum where I bet the gloves are off.
