My collegue quite often speaks chinese to them in reply just to see the looks she gets. When I reply I just broaden my scots accent and tell them what I think off them, people who know me and can usually understand my broad accent crack up. |

Is the truth. My experience and the interaction with this individual is a reflection of a greater social issue or social illness of some part of this country. I was a psychology major which a significant understand about social history and social psychology.

Trotting out your academic "achievements" does little to rejoinder my post.
You know, one of the things I admire about Asians and people of Asian background is that they have respect for their elders. Even if their elders are senile, even if their elders seem to have mislaid their judgment, even if their elders don't quite behave the way that is expected. Rather than make fun of elders in public forums, there is forgiveness and understanding. You appear, sir, to trade on your ethnicity to make fun of others who may just share the same problems of ignorance and bias of which you complain. |
I find it hard to believe that R600 tried in anyway to hurt this old man's feelings. I feel that he, as an asian-american, got tired of all the BS that happens day in and day out and decided to give a little taste of the guys own medicine. I hate to say this but old people can be extremely rude people. I don't care about the old saying "respect your elders", if they have no respect for a person then they get none in return. The old man showed blante disrespect towards him and he, in return, gave him a bit of his own medicine.

How can I display bias by saying "old man's feelings." That isn't bias, its a statment. If I say, "the asian man was sad", is this bias? No, I was simpling stating what i saw/heard/felt whatever the case may be. Or we could twist it and say that everything has bias no matter how you say it.

Yeah, as soon as he said that, I knew he is sick. His world knowledge is limited. His worldly wisdom is half filled. Also, when you are well aged, you should also be wise and to have bath in worldly wisdom. Not to act like an assclown. I only worship the elders who walked the same path that we both did.
