Hillymans New Ride

I picked up my new Trek 520 today! I haven't even able to take her for a ride yet I had them put on a 44/32/22 crankset. I'm going to change the rear rack and put on a front rack too. Thinking about fenders? The Bontrager Race Lite Hardcase, 700x32c are a little slick for me so I hope my Continental Top Touring 2000 700x28s will fit. My first ride will decide if the saddle stays. Not the best pictures but all I have is a cheap digital camera.
Trek 520, I christen thee 'Happy' !!!!

I was looking at specs on your new ride at the Trek website. It didn't say whether there are mid fork eyelets for a front rack. Are there?

You can find a pdf of the manual at planetbike.com. Just go to the fenders page, the link is at the bottom. I tried to post the link here, but couldn't get it to work.
On the rear, mount the fender to the lower eyelets and the rack to the upper eyelets.

Treks website says $1200. Bernie at BFC said the price was $1100. I asked him for a 44/32/22 instead of the 52/42/30 ( I couldn't push a 52 tooth gear riding down SlickRock!), he deducted the price difference on the cranks.
$1028.76 tax included.
With what $ Reg has poured into his project bike, making his LBS his second home and all the skin still on my knuckles, I don't think I did too bad

What I need is more riding time. Looks like another once a week riding year. Oh well, you have to take what life gives you.

Heybulldog! Are you still using your Brooks saddle? I was thinking about getting one.
If you see me at The Harmony you will probably pass by me like I was sitting still with that new ride of yours
